Abducted Press Secretary Feared Dead

Several days after his abduction by yet-to-be-tracked down gunmen, the whereabouts of Chief Press Secretary to Enugu state Governor, Dan Nwomeh, remains unknown. (Picture shows map of Enugu state)

Nwomeh was abducted around 10.30pm on Saturday July 5 this year by the armed gang as he was returning to his Independence Layout residence.

To worsen matters, Nwomeh’s abductors have refused to offer any tip on his whereabouts. Neither have his abductors called to demand any ransom on Nwomeh’s head nor have they called any of his relations or officials of Sullivan Chime government on phone as regards the Chief Press Secretary’s fate.

This situation, KlinReports learnt, has led to suspicions in some quarters that Nwomeh’s abductors could have assassinated him. Not a few wonder whether it was kidnappers that, actually, abducted him, or whether it was just a case of hired assassination.

Meanwhile, the inexplicable abduction of the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary seems to have paralyzed activities in the state, with Governor Chime too shocked for words.
